We are pleased to present FP Survey – Mines & Energy, a guide to all industrial companies publicly traded in Canada. Our listings cover those companies involved in manufacturing, real estate development, forestry, investment holding, and financial management, as well as communications, transportation, banking, retailing, and other service industries. Also listed are those companies which provide service to these areas as well as those investment trusts whose operating activities are in these areas. First established in 1927, FP Survey – Mines & Energy retains the same fundamental objective of meeting the very real need of the personal and the corporate investor for a comprehensive security manual. To this end, we provide an overview of investment opportunities: companies' key properties, owned or optioned, their management and ownership, their financial position, and highlights of events affecting the companies over the past year. Together with its companion publication.

FP Survey – Industrials, this book provides a wealth of information for both investment decision and general interest purposes. For a more complete overview of corporate Canada, we also provide The Year in Review. This section contains a tabular summary of redemption announcements, rights offerings, purchase offers & exchanges, as well as name changes that have altered the corporate landscape over the previous 12 months.

This material supplements the year end summary of the Annual Dividend Record & 10 Year Price Range. To assist with comparative analysis in and between industries, the Top Ten by Industry section containing key financial ratios for the top companies in each of twenty-four Industry Groups under the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS). We are grateful to those corporate officials who went out of their way to provide updated information on their companies in time for our aggressive deadlines.
